Albemarle Hopeline is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to serving victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, teen dating violence, and elder abuse in the northeastern North Carolina counties of Pasquotank, Camden, Currituck, Chowan, Perquimans and Gates.
Albemarle Hopeline offers:
- Emergency Shelter - Hope House provides a temporary sanctuary for victims and their children and offers comprehensive support services.
- 24-Hour Crisis Line - Includes crisis intervention, counseling, information, and related service referrals regarding family violence and rape / sexual assault.
- Counseling - Individual counseling and support groups provided.
- Crisis Response Team - Provides immediate, 24-hour support to victims.
- Court Advocacy - Supports victims through the legal / judicial process.
- Information and Referral – Provides referrals to appropriate community resources.
- Children’s Program – Provides therapeutic activities for young victims of violence.
- Displaced Homemaker Program – Provides services to those qualifying to receive assistance with employment and education.
- Prevention through Education – Provides a variety of programs to school, church, civic and community groups on issues surrounding domestic and sexual violence.
